(excerpted from TulsaWorld) The Tulsa Area Salvation Army is facing a shortage of toys for its Angel Tree program.
The organization has 700 “Lost Angels” or children who were adopted from an Angel Tree but never had gifts turned in for them.
“It’s really unprecedented to have this many not returned,” said D.J.Morrow, Salvation Army spokeswoman. “I honestly don’t know how we’re going to pull this off.”
The most pressing need is toys for boys and girls ages 10 to 12.
Gifts can be dropped off at the Salvation Army’s Joy Center at 924 S. Hudson Ave.
People can also text JOY to 85944 to make a $10 gift that will be used to buy toys.
