KXOJ and the YME Foundation have teamed up with you to honor teachers in the Tulsa area. You’ve nominated a teacher you are thankful for and now we’ll surprise 7 winners who will make a trip to see the Oklahoma City Thunder play the Los Angeles Lakers. The teachers will get to bring 3 family members and ride in style in limousines to and from the arena. Oh, and did we mention they will watch the game from a luxurious sky box with complimentary food and beverages?
We’re also throwing in classroom parties for each winning teacher, with bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes and free music for every student in the classroom PLUS gifts for the teacher, including a Deluxe Mani-Pedi Courtesy of Pur Lux Nails – A relaxing, luxurious nail care experience- at 101st & Yale and gorgeous flower arrangements from Stems Floral Designs! And if you nominate a teacher, you’ll be in a drawing for a pair of floor seats to see the Thunder game yourself!
Stay tuned to find out if your teacher won! We’ll be making suprise classroom visits between now and Christmas to share the good news!
YME is an acronym for Youth Mission Education.
We want children to realize their full potential. Education should be more than simply the pursuit of knowledge. It should increase the field of knowledge, develop the intellect and personality, establish sound health habits, implant habits of industry, awaken respect for the ideals of people and encourage youth to be polished, refined and noble in character. YME wants to impact education by investing in teachers and students in both private and public schools to benefit families and communities.
