Southern Living magazine ranked family-owned Oklahoma Joe’s the best BBQ in Oklahoma (and one of the top BBQ spots in the South)!
“One of the 13 places you have to eat before you die.” -Anthony Bourdain, Celebrity Chef and TV personality.
To understand why, let’s travel back in time to see where the story begins.
Joe’s Davidson’s journey to becoming one of the greatest barbeque chefs of all time started over 25 years ago, when he saved $2,000 to build 18 meat smokers. He transported all of them to the State Fair, sold the entire bunch, and took orders for 200 more. And thus, Oklahoma Joe’s was born. And in the following years, he built over one million meat smokers! However, Joe wanted to become more than a manufacturer. So, he focused on his passion for barbecue, leading him to become a “Master of Que,” and “Grand Champion” in major national competition!
By 1994, with the help of a good friend (and cook-off rival) Jeff Stehney, he finally opened his first restaurant in Stillwater Oklahoma, serving premium quality barbecue beef, pork, chicken, and turkey. And now, over 25 years later, his entire family is involved in the business. His team of champion chefs continue to provide customers with an award winning food experience, and Joe’s catering division can handle any event calling for savory meats and succulent hors d’oeuvres. From parties of 1… to weddings, reunions and company events feeding 5000 guests, Oklahoma Joe’s remains the best, bringing you the best in BBQ.
