I wanted to do this since 8th grade. I grew up in the St. Louis area and, of course, was a HUGE Cardinal baseball fan! I got a little transistor radio for Christmas that year (showing my age!) and would listen to and repeat what Hall of Fame broadcaster, Jack Buck would say on the radio. That love of broadcasting grew throughout high school and when I enrolled at Greenville College, I went to work at the college radio station on day one!
Fast-forward many years and many radio station assignments later, I am here at KXOJ and couldn’t be happier! I already feel a part of the community, hosting the Weekend Top 20 here for years!
I have been married to the “most beautiful girl in the world,” Amy, for 36 years. She is thrilled I’m on the air at KXOJ so her relatives who live in Broken Arrow, Nowata and Sand Springs can listen. We have 4 awesome kids (grown now) and 8 incredible grandchildren! Oh, and 2 doodles. Millie is Golden Doodle and Maggie is a Cavapoo (King Charles Spaniel and Toy Poodle mix).
