It seems like whenever something important needs to be discussed that is when every thing else happens too. Your son needs a fresh band-aid, your daughter wants to try a new cake recipe and your husband says he has a great idea for a vacation this year and he really needs to talk about it right now. Where can the peace in the chaos come? When is the RIGHT time to talk about these important things? God’s word says in Ecclesiastes 3:11 that “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Perhaps in the middle of stressful moments like those we all go through each day we can gain reassurance from John 16:33 where God tells us, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” God is in control. To let go and truly let Him guide you AND your family is the greatest peace in the midst of spilled milk and chocolate on white dress shirts before church you will ever know.
